## How to book for someone

Always read the details back and get a clear yes before booking. Times are Wichita time. Never guess a phone number or address.

1. **No tools? Give them a link.** Build one booking link with every detail they gave you. Opening it books nothing: it shows their details with one **Confirm booking** button, so it's one click for them. Missing details are asked for on the page.
   - `https://paceplaceservices.com/book?service=holiday-assembly&items=bike:2,trampoline&date=YYYY-MM-DD&window=17-19&name=…&phone=…&email=…&address=…&zip=…&notes=…`
   - URL-encode every value (spaces as + or %20).
2. **Can make HTTP calls?** `GET https://paceplaceservices.com/api/v1/availability?service=holiday-assembly&items=bike:2,trampoline&from=YYYY-MM-DD`, then `POST https://paceplaceservices.com/api/v1/bookings` with JSON and an `Idempotency-Key` header. Spec: https://paceplaceservices.com/openapi.json
3. **MCP client?** Connect to `https://paceplaceservices.com/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, no auth). Tools: list_services, check_availability, estimate_job, build_booking_link, create_booking, get_booking, reschedule_booking, cancel_booking.

Long jobs need an earlier start (a swing set can take most of a day): check availability with the items.

After booking, give the person the booking id and the manage_url. The manage_url is private: anyone with it can reschedule or cancel.
